Welcome to Drift. By downloading, installing, or using the Drift application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Drift, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Drift is a dream journal application that allows users to:
- Record and store dream entries locally on their device
- Track dream patterns, moods, and themes
- Set reminders for dream logging and reality checks
- View statistics and insights about their dreams
3. User Accounts
Drift does not require you to create an account. All data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any data stored within the App.
4. Subscription and Payments
Drift offers both free and premium subscription tiers:
- Free Tier: Allows logging up to 10 dreams with basic features.
- Premium Subscription: Offers unlimited dream logging, advanced analytics, pattern recognition, and lucid dreaming tools.
Premium subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account. Payment will be charged at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings.
5. Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for premium features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
6. Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. To request a refund, please contact Apple Support or use the "Report a Problem" feature in your purchase history.
7. User Content
You retain all rights to the content you create in Drift, including your dream entries, tags, and notes. This content is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
You are solely responsible for the content you create. Please do not use Drift to store illegal, harmful, or objectionable content.
8. Intellectual Property
The Drift App, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App.
9. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Drift is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Drift is intended for personal journaling purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. If you are experiencing sleep disorders or mental health concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the App
- Any unauthorized access to or use of your data
- Any interruption or cessation of the App
- Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the App
12. Data Loss
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for backing up your data. We are not responsible for any data loss that may occur due to device failure, app deletion, or other circumstances. We recommend regularly exporting your dream data using the App's export feature.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
